Ghost Stamping Technique with Avant Garden-Sale-A-Bration Set

Ghost Stamping is a stamping technique- stamping with white pigment first and then with dye ink on top, slightly offset. Usually you apply this technique on Kraft paper.

But for may cards I used Soft Suede and Sahara Sand card stock as a card base.

This is the Soft Suede base one.I stamped a flower and a leaf from Avant Garden Stamp Set with Craft Whisper White ink and leave the stamped images to dry completely and stamped the flower with So Saffron and the leaf with Wild Wasabi.

I also used Inlaid Die Cut technique.

The flower center is stamped with Calypso Coral on top of So Saffron.

This is Sahara Sand card base.

Without Craft Whisper White underneath, So Saffron won't show much on Sahara Sand.

I love ghost stamping technique. It gives a design warm and fuzzy look.

  1. Love love your card. Would it be too much what the inlaid die cut technique entails? It looks like you stamped your images first, then cut out the sentiment out. Then, what is next after that? It looks raised. Did you cut another sentiment and glued to backside of first cut out? Thank you.

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog and taking time to leave a nice comment. You are absolutely correct about inlaid die cut technique. I first stamped and die cut the phrase. Then I die cut the same phrase out of So Saffron card stock twice. After that I put the die cut piece of the different color card stock back into the stamped card. Then glued each little bit of the off cut parts from the stamped card back. Next glued the second layer of the die cut phrase and finally put the die cut from the stamped card back on the top. Hope this makes sense.
