Hip Hip Hooray!! Global Design Project #043

This week's Global Design Project challenge is a Theme Challenge.  And the Them is PARTY.
For me party means 1980'. When I was in my twenties, I enjoyed a lot of clubbing!! A night club was called disco back then. It was in the middle of Bubble Economy in Japan and everybody partied hard. I used to go out after work and danced until quite late, came back home well after midnight by taxi because I missed the last train or bus and got up at 5:30 am to prepare to go to work next day.
Yes, it was during the weekdays, not on Fridays.  There was a mid week discount for admission to the club and drinks.  Those days are OVER. I can't even stay up all night anymore.

For this fun challenge I used Party-Up Die. It's a pop-up die but I used it as a panel.I cut 3 times in different colors. Mounted on Whisper White and Gold Glimmer Paper. Then I put the letter offcuts into the slot. In-laid die cutting technique.

I used a lot of off cuts for this card. The swirly thing at bottom left is off cut from the second largest scribble die.

The outer scribble was too big on this spot so I cut the hanging bits.

And attached them on the top left corner. Never waste anything.

This can be a fun party invitation card or birthday card.

Mojo Monday#452-Party Pop-Up Thinlits with Copper and Peekaboo Peach

This is the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.

I found the square on the right top corner was challenging. I couldn't come up with what to put there for a while.  Eventually I decided to use a square just like the sketch.
I heat embossed "HAVE A" with new Stampin' Emboss Powder, Copper and used Copper Metallic Thread, too.  The speckles on the square is a stamp from Painter's Palette set. Stamped with VersaMark.

The "HAVE A" stamp is from my current favorite sentiment set, Thoughtful Banners. This sentiment set has everything you need for every occasion you can think of. The size of each stamp is perfect for cards as well as Project Life pages.
For the vertical line in the sketch, I used one of Washi Tape from Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape. I attached Washi on the Very Vanilla cardstock to it's not see through.

Sponged die cut so it shows better.  This Thinlits is originally to make a Pop-Up card but I just cut it out and used as a diecut word. I like the way it looks on the card front.

I used my old SU circle die.

I pretty much followed exactly the sketch this week.
