Global Design Project #049 | Colour Challenge with Thoughtful Branches

When I saw the color combination in this week's Global Design Project, I was really inspired. What a pretty color combination! I like Flirty Flamingo but haven't used it for a while. Well, it's time to get inky with Flirty Flamingo.

I chose Thoughtful Branches stamp set for the challenge. This stamp set and its coordinating dies are only available until the end of this month or the supplies last. Why not using as much as possible.

I created background paper by stamping on Whisper White cardstock and stamped a sentiment. Then I die cut the sentiment out with Layering Circles Dies. Cut scallop out of Pear Pizzazz cardstock with the scallop die which is slightly bigger than the circle. You can do this with Layering Circles Dies. That's why they're called Layering !! Put the layered circle and scallop onto where you cut the sentiment out then you can create this look.
I matted Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz cardstock on Flirty Flamingo base like this. I thought it looks more interesting in this way.

Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack:Coordinating colors: Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Delightful Dijon, Island Indigo, Old Olive, Pool Party, Whisper White
 Thoughtful Branches Bundle
Copper heat embossed sentiment. It's one of my current favorite things to do.
I copper-heat embossed the leaves on white vellum card stock and die cut them. 3 pieces of die cut trees are stacked so it gives height. I die cut the same tree on the DSP and put the stacked tress back on it slightly off setting so you can see the DSP underneath.

I copper embossed the sentiment inside, too. It looks hard to read but actually it shows much clearer.

Well, what do you think?  I really like it and hope you like it, too.
Thank you for hopping with Crazy Crafters. You are at Satomi Wellard.

Hip Hip Hooray!! Global Design Project #043

This week's Global Design Project challenge is a Theme Challenge.  And the Them is PARTY.
For me party means 1980'. When I was in my twenties, I enjoyed a lot of clubbing!! A night club was called disco back then. It was in the middle of Bubble Economy in Japan and everybody partied hard. I used to go out after work and danced until quite late, came back home well after midnight by taxi because I missed the last train or bus and got up at 5:30 am to prepare to go to work next day.
Yes, it was during the weekdays, not on Fridays.  There was a mid week discount for admission to the club and drinks.  Those days are OVER. I can't even stay up all night anymore.

For this fun challenge I used Party-Up Die. It's a pop-up die but I used it as a panel.I cut 3 times in different colors. Mounted on Whisper White and Gold Glimmer Paper. Then I put the letter offcuts into the slot. In-laid die cutting technique.

I used a lot of off cuts for this card. The swirly thing at bottom left is off cut from the second largest scribble die.

The outer scribble was too big on this spot so I cut the hanging bits.

And attached them on the top left corner. Never waste anything.

This can be a fun party invitation card or birthday card.
