Hi.(that's all) with Flowering Fields

It was one of those days. No matter how I tried, nothing worked.

I wanted to make a clean and simple card with Flowering Fields, one of the SAB stamp sets.  I stamped the flowers with my favourite colours, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral.

After stamping flowers, I was going to stamp the sentiment from another SAB set, Party Pants then I thought I should practice before I stamp directly on the stamped panel.
Well, intention was good but where I practised was wrong; I stamped on the back of the panel with Blackberry Bliss ink.

You may not be able to see it in the photo but in person I can see through the "Hi ". What was I thinking !!

This was my original plan.  Oh no! I can still see the Hi on the back.

I really liked the colour combination and the way the flowers look together so I made another one.

This time flowers came out beautifully........ but the part of the sentiment wasn't inked properly so I took out my Stamp-a-ma-jig and stamped over the first one. It was disaster.
I was so disappointed that I had to walk away from this project.
After I had a cup of green tea, I was still thinking about the card. The rest of the panel was perfect and I even tried twice so I didn't want to waste my effort.

I punched out the sentiment and covered the crooked one and mounted the stamped panel on the Blackberry Bliss.

I am really happy that I saved the card and I think it's even better than the original plan.

Then I thought I may be able to save the first boo boo panel, too. I cut the panel into various width panels, discarded the boo boo part and adhered the rest of the panels on the base card directly.

Now that's truly clean and simple ! I really really like it.

I'm so happy that I didn't give up. It challenged my creativity and the outcome was much better. There are no mistakes in stamping and card making. That's what I love about this hobby.

I can't believe these adorable stamp sets are available only for another few days.
