This is a die from Large Numbers Framelits Dies. It is NOT a Framelits so you can't see where you cut exactly. There is a coordinated stamp in Number of Years stamp set.
You can cut paper first then carefully align the stamp then stamp and die cut it.
I have tried that way but I was't happy with the result.
So how do you die cut this type of dies exactly where it's stamped ??
It's easy if you prep a little bit in advance.
First you make a template with die. The negative part of die cut is the template.
Then put the template over the stamped image like this, aligning the template where you see the stamped images in the centre.
The key point here is; make the back of the template tacky with 2 way glue pen or Tombow Mono Liquid Glue. So the template stays where you want over the stamped image.
Perfect alignment.
At the back of the template.
Then place the die over the template.
And die cut as usual.
Tada !!! The perfect cut. Yeah !
I keep the template with the die. The template has saved me from a lot of frustration.
