July Intermediate Cardmaking Class Project-Butterfly Basics and Thoughtful Banners

Here are the projects for July Intermediate Cardmaking Class. You're going to play with Butterfly Basics stamp set, In Color 2016-2018 and Playful Palette DSP

Project 1:Peekaboo Peach, Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy

Yes, in July you get to make 3 cards. This card is a CASE from the new catalog. I changed a color combination. For this card, you are using Precision Cutting Plate to cut Vellum Card Stock. You'll see a big difference between the regular cutting plate and Precision Base Plate.

Global Design Project #042 Sketch Challenge with Foxy Friends

This week's Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. Here's the sketch.

For this week's challenge, I used Foxy Friends  Bundle and  coordinating A Little Foxy DSP.

I picked 3 colors from DSP, Smokey Slate, Calypso Coral and Pool Party. I added Early Espresso to stamp a tree trunk, little mushrooms and foxy legs.

For the sentiment, I used my favorite set and a punch.

This is my card for Global Design Project #042 and I really like how it turns out. I wouldn't come up with this design by myself. That's what I like about using sketches.

Making a fun background with Swirly Bird

Making a background paper using stamps is one of my most favorite stamping techniques. It's just so fun. I've never been able to make the same pattern twice and that makes this technique more fun. It's always one of a kind.   

For this card, I stamped swirly stamps on top of each other, like 2 step stamping. I'm not sure these stamps are meant to be 2 step stamping but I like how they look. I put Wink of Stella on the swirly part. 

Swirly Bird set-this is so versatile, you can make a lot of different images by combining stamps in the set.

Sentiment is from Love and Affection set.

Flirty Flaming matted on Watermelon Wonder. Surprisingly these two colors go really well together.
